Introduction:

Bawany Sugar Mills Limited was established by Bawany Group of Industries Pakistan. The second oldest sugar mill of Sindh and the very first sugar industry in district Badin.

Later on this mill was purchased by Dewan Group of Industries, from 2004 to 2010, this mill remained under the supervision of Deewan Group. The company was acquired by Omni Group in November 2010. It is an HMC plant, located in one of the best cane growing districts of the country. 21 km away from Ansari Sugar Mills (Pvt.) Ltd.

The machinery was imported from BMA, Bacau Wolf Point, Germany and HMC Taxila. Some of the major processing equipment are 2 Boiler Houses, Power House, Process House and Mill House. Equipment for the Power House are imported from Mitsubishi & Bhumvuff.

Besides, Bawany Sugar Mills provide agricultural loans to growers from Sindh Bank. The mill is stretched over and area of 155 acres.The mill also manages a residential colony, mosque, school and a hospital for its employees. Moreover, it also provides a provision of electricity and gas to its employees in the mill colony. The mill's store facility has a capacity of 40,000 tons of sugar storage capacity.
